Piccola Italia is just TOP-Notch! Literally best school north of Boston! Our son has enjoyed reinforcement daily of our thoughts on treating each other with respect and kindness each and every day, learning about the world as a whole and his part in it. Corey understands there is a time for fun and a time for learning and enjoys the exposure and curiosity of learning that P/I instills in him allowing him to continually wanting to learn more and more!This Preschool/Kindergarden licensed school is alive with truly the ‘best-of-the-best’ all around bursting curriculum of venues such as reading, writing, ‘real-world’ exposure with creative arts(rather than just throwing tons of paper home), Italian emersed language daily and interactively, social awareness, skill-based educational building blocks taught each and every day and so much more intertwined daily. We love the fact that she has built ‘areas’ into this school with much thought.
He has learned so much intertwined daily lessons in life, numbers, colors, letters, animals, things, events/holidays, food and more. So many ‘hands-on’ lessons they are engrossed in the learning while doing day to day! You will not find a better, nor warmer loving environment for your children than with Nella! She is an accomplished artist that we are blessed who also loves to educate children!
It always amazes us how much he retains and really knows each and every day! He will even now answer us at home in Italian phrases and responses which is so great! His well-rounded love of learning in all areas is just so fabulous! We believe learning a language at a very early age will allow him to enjoy many languages down the road and realize there is a whole world of different cultures and peoples. (now time for us parents to learn more and keep up as neither of us are Italian!) Open learning environment with some montessori-similar teaching styles incorporated as in each child learning within their own enthusiasm for capturing more information while enjoying themselves. P/I involves the ‘whole’ child, physically, emotionally, ages-and-stages of social and intellectual development progressing throughout the year and building on each month from fall to spring.
Such a fair payment structure,which she incorporates teaching extremely nutritious snacks and lunches (which she is famous for!). Our son loves and is always eager to go each day and showing us at home his ‘homework’ book with his letters, numbers and creative art all the while learning and having a blast! We highly recommend it to any of our friends-- and the general public- anyone who truly believes their child deserves the best all around educational but creative energetic environment while learning so very much. We only wish we had known about it for our oldest daughter!

Piccola Italia is THE ‘Cream of the Crop’ in Pre-School/Kindergarten in the Merrimack Valley! No comparison to others as it is so far above the rest in all around educational venue as well as incorporating foreign language and the child as an important part of the this world. Just can’t beat the experience your child receives on a daily basis!

Our experience at Piccola Italia has been absolutely wonderful!! This is a warm, loving, nurturing preschool environment. Children's natural love to learning is encouraged and allowed to develop at their own speed. The exposure to the Italian language and culture makes this school unique. This is such a wonderful time in children's lives to allow them to learn another language. They pick it up so easily at this time. At Piccola Italia there is also a great emphasis on art. Nella is an amazing artist with years of experience in teaching. She encourages children's artistic expression in many different media. Her school is set up to encourage exploration and play while children are learning. That statement expresses my total satisfaction with Maria’s experiences at Piccola Italia. The family oriented environment and close relationship between you and the children is exceptional. Learning of the Italian language including songs has certainly broadened Maria. She speaks in Italian to her Sicilian grandfather which he enjoys very much. Maria is quite bashful and it is very important for me to be totally comfortable leaving her in your care. We look forward to her continuing education and new experiences.
