About the Teacher: Nella Lush

I was born, raised, and educated in Italy.  I have studied foreign languages and have over 16 years of experience in early childhood education having been the sole proprietor of the “Circle of Love” art school and summer art camp  This experience has allowed me to study and examine ways in which a child learns best.  Of course each child is different, but it has been my experience that children will learn by being immersed in a relaxing, fun, yet challenging environment.

My husband and I have raised three children and we are proud grandparents of three granddaughters and one grandson. Now that all our children are grown, I am able to dedicate more time to my art and the education of young children in the form of art classes and private Italian classes. February 11th, 2008 my first book of children’s stories entitled “Gracie and Belle - Never Again!"  was  released please read the attached articles.

I am also an accomplished artist. Many of my works are on display around the world, in both corporate and private collections. I am  a member of many artistic organizations, including NAWA (National Association of Women Artists) in New York City.

I am also a member of the IACE (Italian American Cultural Committee) in New York City. They are a wonderful organization that provides support and resources to Italian teachers. With the help of the General Italian Consulate in Boston, I am able to attend conventions and use every resource possible to aid in this journey.

I am very excited about this new endeavor and the direction of my profession.  I am very passionate about educating children, and look forward to the future of Piccola Italia.

Ciao,

Nella Lush
